Why is it so difficult to buy an ordinary road bicycle nowadays?
I want to buy a bike.
An ordinary bike.
Not a sports bike.
Not a BMX bike.
Not a racing bike.
Not a mountain bike.
Not a folding bike.
Not a clowns bike with springs and suspension everywhere.
I want to buy an ordinary road or touring bike.
The sort that has 2 wheels, a couple of gears, handlebars that are higher than the seat, mudguards, and somewhere to fit lights.
I find it hard to believe that such bikes don’t exist anymore.
But I simply cannot find a shop that sells them.
Hear hear! I agree! I have searched and searched for the bicycle that you describe – you have to pay about £400 pounds sterling. In the end I just gave up and bought a vintage one. Much nicer too!

I did not see the ad, but I can tell you 180 watts is nothing. we have a 750 watt limit here in the USA for a reason.
Europe has a 250 watt limit and everyone is complaining there.
